I dedicate The Colors of Cameron to the years I spent as the founder and owner of Watch Us Grow Learning Center 1 & 2, to the children and families who trusted me with their hearts, and to the work that shaped my purpose. For over seventeen years, my commitment has always been to families especially those in inner-city communities supporting them, advocating for them, and creating spaces where children could be seen, valued, and protected. This book is an extension of that same mission. As I step into a larger, more expansive purpose through law, the heart of my work remains unchanged: standing with families, amplifying voices that are often overlooked, and creating pathways for understanding and equity. The Colors of Cameron is both a tribute to where I’ve been and a reflection of where I’m going, grounded in service, compassion, and a lifelong dedication to children and the families who raise them.
